East Tour

We start with a visit to Inverness and spend some time shopping if so desired, and then make our way to Culloden Battlefield, the historic site of the last battle fought on British soil.

This was the famous defeat of the Highland clans after the rising to support Bonnie Prince Charlie in 1746, by the Duke of Cumberland who led the Scottish Lowlanders to victory on the day.

Next stop is Fort George, home base of the famous Black Watch Regiment. A spectacular 18th century fortress located 11 miles outside Inverness.

Our next and final stop will be Cawdor Castle, which dates back to the 14th century and is famed for its mention in Shakespeare’s play, MacBeth. Here you will be able to walk around the beautiful castle, still home to the Countess of Cawdor, and enjoy the beautiful gardens.
